On September 13, 2024, Université Jean Monnet (UJM) captured a remarkable performance by Carla Cardinale and Frédéric Tavernini, under the artistic direction of Gwendaline Bachini from La CRI dance company.

The performance, part of the SPIRITUS MUNDI XR choreography creation by Bachini, was recorded using a setup of GoPro cameras to enable 3D reconstruction of the dancers’ movements and trajectories on stage.

This data will help UJM evaluate the accuracy and robustness of the 3D reconstruction tools developed during the first two years of the PREMIERE project wich aims to modernise performing arts by developing digital tools to support the full lifecycle of a performing art artifact.

A demo of this technology will be showcased during the PREMIERE Round Table in Saint-Étienne on October 14, 2024, with XR headsets and visualization tools.
