On May 13-14, the 12 partners of the PREMIERE project, gathered in Porto for the first time since the project’s launch. Over two productive days, the Coliseu Porto Ageas hosted a series of internal meetings, live demonstrations, and collaborative sessions focused on advancing technological innovation in the performing arts.

Highlights of the meeting included project updates and testing of AI and XR tools developed within PREMIERE showcasing the integration of these technologies in creative processes.

The gathering also featured a public debate titled “Performing Arts and Heritage Archiving: New Technologies and Collaborative Strategies,” held as part of FITEI Festival. The debate brought together experts from the museum sector in Portugal and PREMIERE project partners to discuss the evolving role of digital tools in cultural heritage preservation.

Speakers included:

  • Ana Bigotte Vieira, Co-Principal Investigator of the ARTHE – Archiving Theatre project
